RGC TRIP
Blue Knights Rio Grande Conference May 17-20, 2011
Below is the meeting location, time, and route to the RGC conference
for those who have elected to attend the conference. If you haven't
signed up and wish to attend, also here's a link for conference signup
that contains a listing of available hotels. BK TX Chapter 11, Lorena TX
is hosting this year's RGC.
Meet Location: Shade Tree Saloon, 13430 Hwy 281 N.
BK TX IV Meet Time: 10:15 am, Thursday 17 May

WOUNDED WARRIOR ESCORT
For those of you unable to attend the RGC this year, circle Saturday,
19 May on your calendar. That will be the wounded warrior escort to
Port O'Connor. Meet times and locations will be out shortly.
This is an important one for Chapter IV guys and we need your support if
you do not attend the RGC. The mission is to escort buses full of wounded
soldiers to Port O'Connor to meet with Charter boat Captains who have donated
their time and equipment to take these recovering soldiers fishing. Expect the
entire route to the coast to be lined with citizens cheering on the soldiers and their
escorts.
Rides like this make you proud to be an American and a Blue Knight.
Once at Port O'Connor, members are on their own time and can elect to stay in a local hotel or return to San Antonio. Again, if you are not going to the RGC this year, we need your support on the 19 May escort. The Army has already come to us asking for our support and to pitch the ride at our next meeting. They are obviously looking forward to a good turnout.
MAY MONTHLY MEETING
Also remember that our monthly meeting will be held on 10 May at 1800, at
the VFW 8541, 2222 Austin Highway. We intend to discuss various insurance
policies out there in an effort to help you get more bang for your buck on
a motorcycle policy. You don't want to miss this meeting.Hope to see you all
at the meeting.
